Surviving Life After Loss

“Kerri, thank you for what you did to help me cope while going through a terrible breakup. When we first started I was so lost and couldn’t see how I could ever feel good about myself again, but you helped me find my confidence. That changed everything for me.”

“My mom got sick with COVID-19 and when she died my world seemed to completely fall apart. She was my best friend and I couldn’t handle the terrible shock of losing her like that. The pain is still there and I miss her, but you helped me accept the loss and my new reality.”

Kerri Lewis - Grief Counselor
Hello… I’m Kerri

It’s my desire to help you feel better

Life is unpredictable. It’s filled with peaks and valleys, happiness and sorrow, and invaluable experiences, good and bad.

Like most of you, I’ve had my share of these experiences.

Following the sudden death of my husband in June 2017 — my love, my best friend, my life — and the journey that followed, I found myself wanting to support others through painful loss… to help them regain strength and resiliency… to help them enhance the quality of life… to learn how to make the best of life after loss.

Loss is something none of us wants to face, and the subsequent grief needs to be talked about, and not just among those who are grieving. It is a skill we all need, yet most of us are ill-prepared for. Most of us don’t have a clue what to expect, how to grieve or what to say to someone who is facing it. We’re simply not taught.

If you are grieving because you’ve lost someone you love, something important to you, or you want to help someone who is grieving, I would love to talk with you.

I understand that the last thing you probably want is help or support from anyone, but… I hope you will reach out anyway. You need to. You will feel better for it.

Help and support can change your life in ways you can’t possibly imagine or foresee.

Before you leave, click the button below to schedule a complimentary call together. It is an easy way to introduce ourselves and see if counseling is a good fit for you. There is no obligation whatsoever — it’s just a conversation.

The Purpose of a Grief Counselor

I created my practice for you to have a safe, comfortable place to share your grief with someone who understands exactly what you’re going through and support you through the grieving process.

I know first-hand what it is to lose someone because I lost my husband when he died unexpectedly early one morning 3-1/2 years ago…

And I’m trained to support you and help you through the grieving process so that you are able to turn the page and open a new chapter of your life.

Grief is something that needs to be talked about, and not just among those who are grieving. It is a skill we all need. Yet, most of us don’t have a clue what to expect, how to grieve or what to say to someone who is facing it. We’re simply not taught.

If you are grieving because you’ve lost someone you love, something important to you, or you want to help someone who is grieving, you’re invited to join us here.
